Thailand’s Little Mermaid!

Nikon D5100,

About 30km North West of Hat Yay in Thailand, lies a lake and sea shore by the name Songhkla.
You will find a Golden Little mermaid (no very little though) on the beach.

The statue of the mermaid combing her hair, with a golden comb, is based on a legendary local story.

On anyday you will find hordes of Thailanders coming here spend the evening but hardly any tourist!

Across the elm street, where JFK was assassinated, is this Dealey Plaza. In the background I could see an red colored old building…Later I learnt that this was the Old Red Courthouse, now a museum! My thoughts went back to the days when I read “Westerns” avidly. Countless convicts have been through this very building.

When we were on top of “Uchi Pillaiyar Kovil” in Trichy, we could see many such kites waiting to swoop down on whatever food that was available on the hillside. Look at the beautiful patterns on the underside of its wings.
